Biography
Proffessor James L. Wynn, MD, is Professor of Pediatrics and of Pathology, Immunology, and Experimental Medicine. He completed his medical degree and clinical training in Pediatrics and Neonatal–Perinatal Medicine at the University of Florida.
Professor Wynn's research focuses on the immunobiology of neonatal sepsis and infection, with a particular emphasis on improving the understanding, diagnosis, and management of sepsis in newborn and preterm infants. He has authored more than 120 peer-reviewed publications, including original research articles, reviews, book chapters, and editorials, and is internationally recognized for his contributions to neonatal sepsis research.
As a member of the Steering Committee of the International Newborn Sepsis Society, Professor Wynn contributes to advancing collaborative research and improving outcomes for newborns at risk of sepsis through international scientific partnerships.
