Biography
Mandy Daly is the founder of the Irish Neonatal Health Alliance (INHA), a collaborative, multidisciplinary platform dedicated to improving neonatal healthcare, and the parent of a preterm infant. As a EUPATI Fellow, Trainer, and Editorial Board Member, she is an internationally recognised patient advocate with a strong focus on advocacy, education, research, and meaningful patient and public involvement in healthcare.
Mandy has made significant contributions to neonatal and paediatric healthcare through her involvement in systematic reviews, clinical audits, health technology assessments, registry development, and the review of obstetric, neonatal, perinatal palliative care, and bereavement guidelines. She has also helped develop and deliver educational programmes for healthcare professionals, patient experts, and multidisciplinary audiences, and has collaborated on more than 80 national and international research studies, including the development of several Core Outcome Sets.
She serves on the advisory boards of the PPI Ignite Network and the National Office for Clinical Audit, and is a board member of the Irish Platform for Patient Organisations, Science and Industry (IPPOSI) and the NIDCAP Federation International. Mandy is a co-founder of the International Newborn Sepsis Society and co-chaired the committee that developed the European Standards of Care for Newborn Health. She also contributes as a public reviewer for the Irish Health Research Board and BMJ Open Paediatrics, is a member of the National Office of Research Ethics Clinical Trials Committee, and serves as a patient contributor to the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and the Health Products Regulatory Authority (HPRA) Patient Forum. Her work has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals.
